National Volunteer Week (21-27 May 2018)

Let's thank each and every volunteer around the country for their commitment and service!

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers

From 21–27 May 2018, thousands of events will be held across the country to say thank you to the 6 million Australians who volunteer their time. The week-long celebration will include breakfasts, morning/afternoon teas, and luncheons, as well as open days, award ceremonies, picnics, forums and training sessions.

Volunteering Queensland is also excited to announce the new theme: Give a little. Change a lot.

This years’ theme represents the millions of volunteers who make a profound impact in their communities and on society, through giving a little time.

The web portal has everything you need to celebrate volunteering including resources all aimed at acknowledging the hard work of volunteers and to encourage others to volunteer.

Save the date for National Volunteer Week 2018 – Now scheduled for the fourth week of May, so it no longer clashes with the Federal Budget.

2018 Queensland Volunteering Awards

The 2018 Queensland Volunteering Awards will acknowledge the efforts of hundreds of volunteers, volunteer managers, volunteer-involving organisations and businesses in bringing about positive change within their communities.

Nominees, finalists and recipients will all be honoured at the 2018 Queensland Volunteering Awards Presentation during National Volunteer Week.
