The Ipswich Hospital Volunteer program encompasses varying levels of participation and is a structured and regular commitment involving minimum 4 hourly shifts, on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
Volunteers need to be :
Reliable, punctual, have good time management stills, able to work in a team or independently.
They need to have good communication skills and be able to make their own way to and from the hospital.

Queensland Health Policy now requires all new hospital volunteers to provide documentary evidence that they have been vaccinated for, or are not susceptible to, the vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs) measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis and Hepatitis B.
